Follow this quick visual guide to safely dismantle and reassemble your Bober knife. No tools needed – just your fingers and a bit of care.
⚠️ Important: Do not disassemble the knife unless you have read the full instructions. The internal spring and ball are very small and can be lost easily.
Hold the knife and identify the two screws holding the body together.
Gently twist both sides of the screw counterclockwise using your fingers.

Carefully lift the cover plate off the knife body as indicated in the picture.
Notice that the blade has two locking grooves. There is a small spring-loaded ball that locks the blade in place.
⚠️ ATTENTION! While removing the blade, hold the spring and ball in place to avoid losing them.
Tip! To avoid losing small parts, place the knife inside a transparent ziplock bag while opening it. This way, if anything pops out, it’s safely contained.
This is how the spring ball assembly looks taken out of the blade.

Make sure the spring is put inside the small hole of the blade.
Place the small ball on top of the spring. To make things easier, hold the assembly vertically.
While compressing the ball and the spring, carefully install the blade assembly back into the knife body.
Make sure to start with the small groove at the edge, then press both body parts together.
Insert both screws. Twist both sides back together by turning them clockwise. Done!
